Sikh
Praising Mohammad Ali Jinnah and Admits That They Did Mistake During Partition
Birth:
Muhammad
Ali Jinnah is a great leader who was born on December 25, 1876 in Karachi. His parents
were living in a rented house at that time. He was an underweight infant and
was very weak. His mother Mithibai was hopeful about the bright future of his
little cute infant. Jinnah had six siblings and was eldest of them. His father
Poonja Jinnah bhai was a tradesman of that time and used to export goods like
wool, cotton and some grains.
Early
education:
Muhammad
Ali was six years old when his father sent him to a nearby school. Poonja
wanted him to take interest in mathematics as he was supposed to take over his
father’s business in future. But Jinnah was least interested in mathematics and
his favorite hobby was playing with his friends outside the school.
At
the age of eleven, his aunt who lived in Bombay took him with her. He returned
to Karachi in six months due to lack of interest in school. Things did not
change after returning as he has expelled out of school due to preferring
horseback riding on studies.
Higher
education:
Then
his parents sent him to Christian Missionary High school Karachi. One of his
father’s business colleagues offered him internship in London. He immediately
accepted the offer although his mother resisted his migration.
His
mother asked him to get married before leaving and at the age of fifteen he
married wit Emibai who was a fourteen old girl belonging to a small village of
India.a few months after marriage Jinnah went to London. He never saw his
mother or wife again as both of them died during his stay in London.
During
his stay in London he resided as a guest. He completed his period of internship
and then joined Lincoln’s Inn which helped young students to prepare for bar
examination. In 1896 he passed the bar exam at an age of 20, the youngest champ
ever to have done that.
Practical
life:
He
returned as a barrister in the same year he passed his bar exam. He started
practicing law in Bombay High Court which he continued till late 1940s. his
famous case was a murder case in 1925 and another case in 1940s.
Political
life:
During
his stay in London, he developed interest in politics and after coming back to
India he thought to change his profession to a politician. His father was angry
with him as he did not allow him to do so. His father stopped his monthly
financial support only to resume it before he died in early 1902. He was
interested in Indian politics and wanted to represent India in British
Parliament. He joined Indian National Congress at first but then left it to
join Indian Muslim League.
During
his attachment with Congress he realized that Hindu Muslim unity is the
ultimate goal of his life but soon he came to know that Hindu and Muslims are
two separate entities. In late 1920s his second wife took divorce and started
living separately until she died at a young age of 29.
Struggle
for freedom:
In
early 1930s he was able to get recognition for Muslim League in the British
Parliament and then he started the campaign for a separate state for Muslims. He
realized the fact that Muslims’ rights can only be preserved in a separate state.
Jinnah held a meeting of Muslim League in 1940. In this meeting he proposed the
concept of making Pakistan, a time when Muslim league was about to join
National League in the upcoming provincial elections.
Achievement
of goal:
He
continued to fight for a separate state until it was 1947 when British
government had to send a cabinet to India for making three separate states. These
states came into being in august 1947 namely Pakistan, India and Bangladesh.
Soon
after independence, Jinnah was made the first Governor General of Pakistan.
Jinnah
died at the age of 72, only one year after making Pakistan. But he will be
remembered for ever. The hard work he did for achieving his goals became an
example in the history of world. He was buried in Karachi.
